We went on a long and tiring 9 mile hike. When we stopped for lunch, I noticed the beauty of my surroundings. I saw the glacier, mountains, water, and dripping rocks while wishes I could paint the landscape. During our
reflection period, I sat on the sand in a secluded area engulfed by trees. During this reflection, I found one of my symbols of my pilgrimage in a rock as I have seen one that grabbed my attention every hike. I was also very vigilant of my surroundings. For example, I saw the bugs crawling on the ground and bees as I ate Tim's salt and vinegar potato chips. Although we did not see a bear in the water, this hike was one to remember.
