Exhausted and Blessed- Lucy

Dobar dan from Split, Croatia! As we battled  exhaustion and the heat we ate a great lunch of sandwiches and salad in a historic square right near Diocletian's palace. The scenery was stunning and truly showed the history of Croatia and how old the country really is. Next we went on the ferry and headed to the island of Brac. Croatia has a ton of mountains, think of how California looks and add a large European influence to it, and the waters are truly crystal clear. Luckily we got to swim in the Adriatic Sea which was the highlight of my day, despite getting yelled at by the youth of the Italian mafia to stop climbing their iceberg (a floating obstacle course belonging to a resort we weren't apart of) and the cold waters. Swimming finally made it feel real, that we had arrived in this gorgeous country that we get to call home for a week.
We stayed in apartments who were owned by Ken's, our guide, friend. Their hospitality was very surprising and their love of God was pure. This couple is new to the Christian church, but you couldn't tell, they truly did everything with the love of God.
As we went to dinner, the entire group including the leaders were exhausted. As we talked through dinner some of us were nodding off and you could see the bags under our eyes. Which made sense since we had been awake for almost two days and have walked a bunch and traveled through all of it. Sleep is going to be very nice, as you can imagine. I cannot wait for the rest of the week and see what this beautiful country has to offer.
     Laku noć! Go God! :)
